H.E. Ibrahim Bumelha, Advisor to H.H. the Ruler of Dubai for Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity Establishment stated that the adoption of the "UAE Children's Day" on 15 March each year by the Ministerial Council for Development, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, confirms the blessed march of good leadership in the field of child care and enhancing the security of the future. In raising and cultivating the pride of identity and loyalty to the homeland and adhering to the values of persistence, ambition and creativity.
Bumelha stressed that the State has spared no effort to promote children and spread the culture of the rights of the child on the widest extent and enacted laws and legislation that indicate the interest of Emirati children, which established a sound basis in the development of childhood and its protection from the forms of threat and recreational, social, educational and health activities. The State's keenness is devoted to the need to take care of the children and give them the attention they deserve within national policies.
Bumelh added that Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment is in the process of implementing the projects supporting the children. It is important to contribute to raising the level of interest in this group of children and to encourage their care through the implementation of these projects which receive great attention in the community. The Establishment therefore undertakes a number of projects that reflect its orientation towards expanding the social role of charity and humanitarian work to support the UAE child in the field of education and health care in order to serve the children and to make more efforts, work and education and prepare them to be the pillars of the future and reservoir of the homeland.
