Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment has granted a property to King Hussein Cancer Foundation in Jordan as a part of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum global initiatives. This gift was granted under a memorandum of understanding signed yesterday by HE Ibrahim Mohammed Ahmed BuMelha, the Advisor of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for cultural and humanitarian affairs, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Establishment, in behalf of Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, where Princess Ghida Talal, Chairman of the Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Center & Foundation has signed the same in behalf of King Hussein Cancer Foundation in Jordan, at the premises of the Center. The memorandum contained a donation and assignment from Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Establishment of a property owned by Establishment on the Jordanian territory, to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Princess Dina Mired, the Director General of King Hussein Cancer Foundation, HE Bilal Rabei Bilal Al-Bdour, the UAE Ambassador in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Nabil Abdel-Rahim Hussein, the director at Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Establishment board, Saleh Zaher Al-Mazroui, the Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Establishment and Dr. Asem Mansour, the Director General of the Center.
The two parties have held a press conference on the cooperation between the two institutions, and the ways to enhance the cooperation between Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Establishment and the King Hussein Cancer Center have been discussed. Further the care of cancer patients in Jordan and the region, including the treatment, prevention and awareness services provided by the center and the Establishment have been reviewed.
Princess Ghida expressed in a statement on this occasion her deep gratitude to the UAE and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and the Ruler of Dubai, May Allah protect him, for their generous support and continuous humanitarian and charitable initiatives, and confirmed the distinguished relations between the UAE and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Princess Dina Mired provided a commentary on a film about the activities and the efforts of King Hussein Cancer Center and how the contributions granted to the Center are managed and the ongoing expansion.
She said that a significant portion of the donations goes to treat the less fortunate people from Arab nationalities who resort to the Centre in Amman, particularly those whose medical institutions fell in or collapsed in their countries, such as Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Sudan and Palestine.
BuMelha confirmed the keenness of Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charity Establishment to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in the framework of charity and humanitarian work, and to provide the support to organizations working in this field, inside or outside the UAE.
He paid tribute to the King Hussein Cancer Center efforts in relieving the pains of cancer patients of Jordan nationals or patients from the Arab region, and stressed the special position obtained and great services provided by the Center to Jordanians or to their brothers from the Arab region.
HE UAE Ambassador to Jordan expressed his appreciation to all staff of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation for the developed approach in management and for the huge efforts exerted to collect donations for cancer patients from all Arab nationals.
He stressed that Jordan can accommodate all Arab brothers thanks to security and safety and the wisdom of its leadership and its noble people, and pointed out that Jordan offers many successful models on various fields and levels, including what is provided by King Hussein Cancer Center in the humanitarian health aspect.
HE Bdour had received HE Ibrahim Bu Melha and his accompanying delegation at the Embassy premises, who expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Embassy for the cooperation and the efforts exerted to provide services and facilities to all delegations of the Establishment and to support and care the implementation of its projects in Jordan.
