With 290 thousand dirhams to provide 4 thousand blood pressure & diabetes meters Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment supports “You Are Our Paradise” Initiative

 

The Initiative “You are Our Paradises” launched by the Social Services Department in Sharjah received a financial support of 290 thousand dirhams from Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment to provide 4 thousand diabetes and blood pressure meters as a contribution to support the social initiatives and programs organized by the national institutions.

His Excellency Ibrahim Bumelha, Cultural and Humanitarian Advisor of the Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Establishment stated: “the Establishment’s contribution to the initiative of “You are Our Paradise” launched by the Social Services Department will be for the sake of more than two thousand elderly people in Sharjah in order to make them happy and joyful by meeting their needs of the medical devices they require at home for their daily diabetes and blood pressure checkup, in an attempt to achieve the social solidarity and to leave a happy gesture in their lives. The Establishment is keen on supporting the elderly people to accomplish the noble goal of taking care of them, feeling and touching their various needs and providing the financial and moral support they need.

 Bumelha added: “It is important to carry out various projects that support the people through fulfilling their various needs, which improve the quality of their lives. Taking care of the elderly people is one of the teachings of our Holy Islamic Religion as it set great rewards and high rankings for such practices. Taking care of others is one of the dearest acts that could be made to Allah (Glory be to Him).”

“This joint humanitarian activities between the Establishment and the Social Services Department comes in the framework of enhancing the cooperation between the Establishment and the governmental bodies in the state to support the mutual efforts, to relieve the burdens on the needy members of the society in compliance with internal assistance program the Establishment adopts. Such support shows the Establishment’s interest in supporting all groups of the society & to relief the difficulties they face”. Bumelha commented

Mariam Ash-Shamsi, the branch manager of the Social Services Department in Al-Hamriyah and in charge of the initiative “You are Our Paradise”: “This contribution of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Establishment is valued, and highly appreciated; as the Establishment always participates in all kind of social initiatives out of its belief of the social responsibility.

This huge contribution plays an important role in the success of the initiative devoted to appreciate elderly people on their Day that coincides with 1st October every year via providing medical devices including blood pressure & diabetes meters and medical bag. There will be an electronic competition named “Gathering of Family and Loved Ones” to be launched by posting a photo of the elderly people with his/her family members on the social media pages of the Department. The most shared photo will be selected!”

Ash-Shamsi thanked all officials in the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Establishment for this good gesture that reflects a responsible feeling for such social initiatives that aim at enhancing the social cohesion among the members of the society

Ash-Shamsi mentioned that this 2014-launched Initiative “You are Our Paradises’ completes its fifth anniversary this year consecutively to achieve the goal of participation in servicing and developing the society to accomplish the social cohesion set forth in the strategic plan of the Social Services Department as a part of the main goal to create awareness chances to enhance the social cooperation.
