In the presence and under auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Head of Fujairah Foundation for Regions Development (FFRD), the Foundation signed – in the Diwan of His Highness, Ruler of Fujairah Emirate – a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment. The objective of the memorandum is to promote and fix the basics of joint strategic cooperation for the advancement of Emirati society and to sufficiently meet the needs of low income segments. This will ensure the presence of a equitable atmosphere to create a harmonious and well-balanced society.
Mr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, Deputy Manager of the Foundation, signed the agreement for Fujairah Foundation for Regions Development (FFRD). Mr. Ibrahim, Consultant of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, signed the agreement for the Establishment. The signing took place in the presence of the Foundation’s Director General, Mr. Khamis Al Noon, and the members of the board of directors as well as the President of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, Mr. Saleh Zaher.
The agreement sets out a community partnership contract based on the support of all the developmental and humanitarian projects implemented by Fujairah Foundation for Regions Development (FFRD) in the Emirate, by providing the material and moral support in all the Foundation’s future programs.
The agreement includes the support of the coordination of common events and participation in the housing renovation and maintenance program or the provision of household items, in addition to the support of neighborhood boards’ projects in the regions.
The consultant Bu Melha and the engineer Khamis Al Noon reviewed all the projects implemented since the FFRD’s establishment, the value of which reached 70 million dirhams. The purpose of the foundation is to promote Emirati society, develop and improve the regions in need, and to meet the requirements of society to ensure prosperity, stability, and development.
Among the achieved projects of the Foundation since its establishment are: the maintenance and building projects for 550 houses in the Emirate, at a value of 50 million dirhams; the provision of aid for building materials to 800 families at a value of 3.5 million dirhams; and a contribution to the payment of lease entitlements for 14 families approximately at a value of 383 thousand dirhams. Among The Foundation’s social obligations, it has contributed to the extension of assistance services to 20 families at a value of 238 thousand dirhams. It has also furnished household items for more than 63 citizen families in Fujaira, at a value of approximately 360 thousand dirhams.
