Guided by the directives of his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Emir of Dubai, to support children with chronic diseases inside the UAE, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment donated 500,000 AED, in the framework of its strategic plan for supporting patients and needy in cooperation with the global ‘Make A Wish’ Foundation.
His Excellency Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, … Emir of Dubai’s Advisor for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment said that such support for children with chronic diseases comes with the goal of encouraging these afflicted children to have a normal life, lighting the lamp of hope in their hearts so that they have high spirits, and standing with the parents of those children through helping them through the treatment process.
Bu Melha added that the Establishment’s support for all patients, however, has never stopped. This initiative comes within the Establishment’s action plan to provide society’s members with all possible aid. He referred to the fact that the Establishment noticed the positive effects on patient children and their parents in the last two years in terms of easing the financial burden on the families, providing them with comfort and psychological stability, and activating medical treatment programs. It has continued providing this support for the third year in a row.
Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation commended the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment for its support. He said that this support will help the Establishment in achieving many wishes for children with life-threatening chronic diseases inside the UAE. He added that the Make-A-Wish Foundation feels proud to be a strategic partner of the Establishment which believes in the Foundation’s mission and objectives.
